Douglas' spirea, also known as hardhack, steeplebush, or rose spirea, is a native shrub found in the northwestern United States. The leaves are alternate, oblong, and dark green, with a whitish underside. The plant produces deep pink flowers in fragrant clusters, which bloom in midsummer.
