Coastal Strawberry (3.5")

Coastal Strawberry is a perennial plant. It is hardy to USDA zone 4 and is not frost tender.. Low, evergreen groundcover that spreads by runners. Drought tolerant. Has small tasty fruit. Attractive shiny green leaves that usually stay through winter. Found along the Oregon dunes growing in deep sand. The species is dioecious (individual flowers are either male or female, but only one sex is to be found on any one plant so both male and female plants must be grown if seed is required) and is pollinated by Insects. The plant is not self-fertile.
